Hey everyone,
Since since I last put up a journal entry, I found a job (I'm working as an IT Desktop Analyst) to which people's reaction has been "Have you tried turning it off again?" in what is now nauseating quantities, but that's what I'll be talking about a bit.
So what I've noticed is that since working I'm losing a lot of passion and inspiration in my art, I guess this is what most artists experiences when they first get a job that not related to their work. I just want to know if anyone can give some advice, should I just keep pushing on with my art when I can? Or should I wait for the inspirations to come round again? I am for matter still drawing but I don't feel any drive with what I'm doing. This is especially ironic since I recently bought a cintiq.
I do wonder if this may have something to do with that I don't entirely like my job for a number of reasons, fortunately its not truly horrible on unbearable. Its just very often psychologically draining.
Anyway, if anyone can give me some advice or direction to help me get back into my art, that would be greatly appreciated.

Returning to DeviantArt
Hello, Its been a while. I'm amazed how much DA has changed even in a year. I'm happy to announce I am returning to my account here. I'm presently working away on a few paintings and hopefully I'll have some new content to upload as I dust off my profile very soon!
Update to this account.
Hello everyone,
I'm updating this account to say that I'm no longer frequenting this account. My art will remain on here for those interested.
However if anyone wants to reach me for commissions or wants to get in touch you can reach me through my art station account here https://www.artstation.com/schismwalker
For those who are concerned about personal well being from the last update. I would like to reassure you that I'm doing fine and my personal life is getting back on track slowly but surely. I'm back at university pursuing my Masters Degree so that is my primary focus right now.
July 2018
Hello,
Its been a month since I posted anything. I was recovering from a broken wrist throughout June after coming off my motorcycle (Bike is fine by the way).
I do still have a couple of things I'm very slowly working on which I hope to have uploaded in August by the latest. At the moment I've undertaken some commission work so my focus is presently on that. Also I've started a new job which means I'm only really around on weekends.
I am also getting much better at 3D moddeling and wanted to put it to my watcher's if thats content they'd also like to see from me. Although its mostly just me experimenting at this time and building models

Hmm, been there my friend.
For me I do it because I love it - just think of an idea that is fantastic, or amazing that has not been depicted (or done well) and go from that
I am in a job but I do my art because I LOVE IT
