Hey everyone,

Since since I last put up a journal entry, I found a job (I'm working as an IT Desktop Analyst) to which people's reaction has been "Have you tried turning it off again?" in what is now nauseating quantities, but that's what I'll be talking about a bit.

So what I've noticed is that since working I'm losing a lot of passion and inspiration in my art, I guess this is what most artists experiences when they first get a job that not related to their work. I just want to know if anyone can give some advice, should I just keep pushing on with my art when I can? Or should I wait for the inspirations to come round again? I am for matter still drawing but I don't feel any drive with what I'm doing. This is especially ironic since I recently bought a cintiq.

I do wonder if this may have something to do with that I don't entirely like my job for a number of reasons, fortunately its not truly horrible on unbearable. Its just very often psychologically draining.

Anyway, if anyone can give me some advice or direction to help me get back into my art, that would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, been there my friend.

For me I do it because I love it - just think of an idea that is fantastic, or amazing that has not been depicted (or done well) and go from that :)

I am in a job but I do my art because I LOVE IT :)
